How to check a new Robinhood Chain token for rug, honeypot and sell tax signs before you buy it, in a few seconds and from any wallet.
New tokens launch on Robinhood Chain around the clock, and some are built to take the money of the first buyers. A rug drains the liquidity. A honeypot lets you buy and never sell. A heavy sell tax takes most of what you sell. All three can be spotted before you buy.
What to check
- Can you sell? A honeypot blocks or taxes the sell side, so the buy looks normal and the exit never works.
- Who controls the contract? Powers to mint, pause, blacklist or change taxes after launch are red flags.
- Where is the liquidity? Liquidity the deployer can pull at any time is the classic rug.
- Who holds the supply? A few wallets holding most of it can dump on everyone else.
- Who deployed it? A deployer linked to past rugs is the strongest warning of all.
